Free Advertising, Nonprofit: World Villages for Children - Donate to a Charity
Today, World Villages for Children supports more than 22,000 poor children in Brazil, Guatemala, Korea, Mexico, and the Philippines,
with donation offices in Belgium, France, the Netherlands, Spain, the United Kingdom, and the United States. It is a non-profit non-stock organization managed by a Catholic order of nuns called The Sisters of Mary.
In 1964, after the Korean War, Msgr. Aloysius Schwartz founded The Sisters of Mary to help street children and orphans in South Korea. He founded a fundraising organization to support The Sisters of Mary’s charities.
In 1985, Msgr. Schwartz extended his charity programs to the Philippines following invitation from church officials and the government.
In 1990, he began his charities in Mexico.
In 1997, following invitation from Guatemalan Pres. Alvaro Arzu; his wife, Sra. Patricia Escobar de Arzu; and the Archbishop of Guatemala City, Msgr. Prospero Pernados del Barrio, The Sisters of Mary began helping children in Guatemala.
In 2001, The Sisters of Mary extended its charities to Brazil.
Msgr. Schwartz received numerous awards for his charities and was nominated twice for the Nobel Peace Prize. He died in 1992, but his legacy lives and his charities continue. Today, The Sisters of Mary’s charities are directed by Sister Michaela Kim, whom he personally named successor.
In a nutshell, the organization is more a parent than a simple foundation, giving unconditional love to her children. It is a superb provider of basic necessities a real parent ought to provide (food, shelter, clothes, and health).
The campuses and dormitories are one of the cleanest in the world. And being an educational institution, it provides top-of-the-class education with both practical and up-to-date curriculums. It inculcates values and spirituality to its children.
After the kids graduate, The Sisters of Mary still helps them get a job. Truly a parent being a parent, molding the mind, body, and soul of her children.
And thanks! All of this is possible because compassionate people like you care!
