Prakash Raj to play Villain in NTR-Surender Reddy film

Prakash Raj is all set to don the role of main villain in Jr.NTR’s upcoming film which will be directed by Surendar Reddy. In the past, Prakash Raj had played important roles in Jr NTR’s Brindavanam, Kantri and many more films. However, the buzz in the industry is that Prakash Raj has a powerful characterization in this latest Jr NTR-Surendar Reddy’s film. Tamannaah is the main heroine in the film. The film will reportedly be shot for 110 days. NTR and Surendar Reddy have earlier worked together for Ashok. BVSN Prasad is producing this film.

Kick Shyam, Prakash Raj, Asish Vidyarthi, Ali, Jayaprakash Reddy, Raghubabu, Venumadhav, MS Narayana, Duvvasi Mohan, Raghu, Venkat and others are in the cast.

Story is by Vakkantam Vamsi, dialogues are by Koratala Siva, music is by Devisri Prasad, cinematography is by Rasool Ellore, lyrics are by Chandrabose, art is by Ravinder, editing is by Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao while screenplay and direction are by Surender Reddy.

Prakash Raj to play Villain in NTR-Surender Reddy film

‘Maryada Ramanna’ to be remade in Hindi

The film Maryada Ramanna starring Sunil directed by S.S. Rajamouli was a runaway hit last year. The film was a roaring comedy with a very good story and in intricating plot.

Now, this film is going to be remade in Hindi. Ajay Devgn, N.R. Pachisia and Prav starring Sunileen Talreja have bought the Hindi remake rights. Ashwini Dhir of Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge will direct the Hindi remake.

Presently, script work is in progress and it is being slightly modified to bring in the North Indian nativity. But the basic storyline remains the same.

The actors are yet to be finalised. A top star may play the lead role while Ajay Devgn is likely to play the villain.

‘Ala Modalaindi’ completes 50 Days run

The surprise hit of 2011, Ala Modalaindi has completed 50 days run in 54 centers. Starring Nani, Nithya Menon, Ala Modalaindi started off on a dull note at the box office. However positive reviews and strong word of mouth has helped the film to gain momentum within no time.

Ala Modalaindi has done exceptional business in A centers and did a fairly good job in B centers. It is estimated to collect a share of Rs. 10 Crores and no wonder producers from various languages are vying for the remake rights of this film.

Director Nandini Reddy shot to fame with it and Nithya Menon is being regarded as the find of the season. Ala Modalaindi 50 days function will be conducted at Shilpa Kala Vedika on 15th of March. We congratulate Ala Modalaindi for bagging such a big hit.

Manoj’s ‘Uu Kodatara Ulikki Padatara’ shoot from Mar 14th

It is known that Manchu Manoj has signed up a film under their family production house Lakshmi Prasanna Pictures and the film has been titled as Uu Kodatara Ulikki Padatara. Now, the latest buzz is the movie will move onto the floors from 14th March. Deeksha Seth has been roped in as the female lead and Nandamuri Bala Krishna will grace the screens in a special role in the movie.

Sources say though Lakshmi Manchu approached Samantha for this role, she wasn’t keen to act in this movie and hence they had to settle down for Deeksha Seth. Raja, who worked as assistant director to Krishna Vamsi is debuting as director with the film and Lakshmi Manchu is producing it. His previous film ‘Jhummandi Naadham’ was also in the same banner Lakshmi Prasanna Pictures with his sister as the producer.

Manchu Lakshmi, who gave a powerful performance as the witch in Anaganaga O Dheerudu, says that she is in no hurry to hunt for acting opportunities and she will concentrate more on production of films. She had earlier produced Jummandi Nadam.

LBW (Life Before Wedding) directed by Praveen Sattaru and produced by Naveen Sattaru and Deborah Stone with Abhijith, Nishanthi, Siddhu, Chinmayi, Asif Taj and Rohan in the lead was proved a hit and evoked good reviews from the critics.Keeping the good response from the Telugu audiences, the producers made efforts to release the film also in Chennai on March 11. Releasing by Goyan Media Management.The film would be screened at Mayajaal, PVR, AGS, Rakki cinemas in Chennai.

It is known news that Keeravani has a key decision making role to play in all the projects handled by Rajamouli. Even the choice of heroines gets the two brothers on same page. Apparently, they don’t like repeating a heroine in any of their projects. This is seen right from ‘Student No 1’ to the latest ‘Eega’.

‘Student No 1’ had Ghazala, ‘Simhadri’ had Bhumika, Ankita, ‘Sye’ had Genelia, ‘Chatrapathi’ had Shriya, ‘Vikramarkudu’ had Anushka, ‘Magadheera’ had Kajal, ‘Maryada Ramanna’ had Saloni and ‘Eega’ has Samantha. That way, it looks like Samantha pairing up with Prabhas for Rajamouli’s next film looks impossible.

Right from Ramgopal Varma to Puri Jagannadh, V V Vinayak, Srinu Vaitla, Boyapati tend to repeat their heroines. But Keeravani- Rajamouli doesn’t entertain heroines for the second time in their projects.
