The idea of portraying Akshay as a Sikh was an afterthought as Akshay’s character in Singh is Kinng was very popular. Both Nikhil Advani and Akshay are extremely excited about the film, which will be released in February 2011 as the film Action Replay will now have a Diwali release while Tees Maar Khan is scheduled to release in December.

As per Latest Akshay Kumar Interviews, he said that, "In Khatta Meetha, I tried to make people laugh because it's very important to create laughter. Check the success record of the past five years. Action Replayy Movie Release Date - November 5 2010

 
(1) Akshay Kumar and Akshay Kumar wife Twinkle Khanna had a grand bash for their son Aarav Kumar eighth birthday on Aarav Kumar Birthdate September 15 at a friend's hotel. Akshay Kumar never works on Aarav's birthday and makes sure all his appointments and shoots are scheduled for other days.

(2) As per Latest Akshay Kumar Interviews, she said that, “Mein paranthewali gali wala ladka hoon (I am from the lane of paranthas), and I love to make different types of paranthas when it comes to Indian cuisine,”

(3) Director Prabhu Deva will now direct Akshay Kumar in an untitled film. He was approached by filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali for the film. Costume designer Sabina Khan will co-produce the film. Akshay Kumar will do a musical dance drama, which will exhibit his dancing skills.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali is casting Akki in his big budget production and Akshay is set to learn some classical Indian and many other dancing styles for his role. He may be given an exclusive dance coach to practice too.

Dabangg first day box office collection report

The Salman Khan starrer Dabangg has opened to a phenomenal response at the box office.

The movie opened to 100 per cent occupancy across single screens in India. On the other hand, in multiplexes too, the response has been heartening with approximately 80 - 100 per cent occupancy.

Dabangg has taken a thunderous bumper opening all over India and it is pretty clear that it is going to be the first or second biggest first day in the history Hindi cinema. Dabanng to be number one will have to cross the Three Idiots day one figures. The day one territorial numbers of Three Idiots that Dabangg chases are below.

Mumbai - 5.22 crore

Delhi/UP - 2.39 crore

East Punjab - 1.10 crore

West Bengal - 72 lakhs

Bihar - 18 lakhs

CP Berar - 53 lakhs

CI - 48 lakhs

Salman Khan Gives Green Signal To Andaaz Apna Apna 2

Bollywood Superstar Salman Khan is one actor who stands by his producers and directors in need. This time veteran Producer Vinay Sinha approached the actor to work with him. It has been heard that the veteran producer has been going through a bad patch and when he approached Salman to do a film with him, the actor immediately agreed.

Salman met the producer and they had lengthy discussions as to the script of the movie. Finally they both settled on the sequel of their 90’s hit Andaaz Apna Apna. The film starred Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Karishma Kapoor and Raveena Tandon in the lead and was directed by Rajkumar Santoshi.

Since Salman and Aamir have taken their relationship forward and have been bonding together of late, they have shown interest in working together too. Hence producer Sinha now plans to approach director Rajkumar Santoshi and Aamir Khan for the remake. Producer Sinha says “Yes I approached Salman and he agreed immediately. I was touched by his gesture. I plan to approach Rajkumar Santoshi and Aamir now. Hope everything works out fine.”

The producer further adds that “in case things do not work out with Rajkumar Santoshi and Aamir Khan, I will have to rework on the project and approach other directors and actors for the same. But for the time being I have only Salman and Aamir on my mind.”

And he have not yet decided any actresses in the Andaz Apna Apna Sequel, lets see who will be the actresses in the film, i guess Zareen Khan and Katrina Kaif what you think who will be the actresses in the film???

Salman forces Mahesh Manjrekar to break his promise

Mahesh Manjrekar had vowed to give up acting but his new best-friend Salman Khan keeps coaxing him back to the camera. For Salman's home production Dabanng, Manjrekar stepped into the role of debutante Sonakshi Sinha's father on Salman's say-so. That was meant to be Manjrekar's swan song as an actor.

But now he has again been persuaded to face the camera with Salman for Anees Bazmee's Ready. The funniest part of the director's enforced career as an actor is, he doesn't know what his role in Ready is.

Says Mahesh, "Salman said you have to do it. I know I decided I won't be acting anymore. But you can't say no to Salman. He said, 'You're in Ready and you're part of my family in the film. Beyond that, all I know is I play a positive role for a change."

Peepli [Live] : Movie Review by Taran Adarsh

When Aamir Khan produces a film, or is associated with any film in the capacity of an actor, be prepared for the unpredictable. Films like TAARE ZAMEEN PAR and 3 IDIOTS took pot shots at the education system in India and PEEPLI [LIVE], directed by Anusha Rizvi, is a tongue-in-cheek satire on the farmers' suicides and the role of vote-hungry politicians and the over-enthusiastic, TRP-seeking desperate electronic media jostling for eyeballs.

Come to think of it, the concept [farmers' suicides] would instinctively translate into a serious, thought-provoking film. But PEEPLI [LIVE] takes a grim and solemn issue, turns it into a satire, garnishes it with populist sentiment and makes a far greater impact than a mere documentary, had it tackled the burning issue. In fact, like all Aamir Khan films, PEEPLI [LIVE] marries realism with a winning box-office formula most brilliantly.

A sad fact of our society is that bad news attracts instant attention. In PEEPLI [LIVE], an impoverished man offers to commit suicide so that his family can benefit from a government grant - a dark subject matter which is dealt with in a delightfully humorous manner. In fact, it's a terrific satire about a troubled India, the shining India, the industrialised India that's rarely depicted on the Hindi screen.

PEEPLI [LIVE] focuses on the poorest of the poor in India and it not only highlights the plight of a farmer in a tiny corner of a giant country, but also throws light on the varied people who exploit the situation to their advantage, right from the politicians to the bureaucrats to the television reporters to the local people. In fact, PEEPLI [LIVE] makes a scathing attack on the functioning of media in India and how media persons, depicted as vultures, generally stoop to the lowest levels to increase the ratings of their television channel/show.

The best part is that at no point does the film gets preachy or starts offering solutions to the grave issue. It's a mere tool that the makers have used to discuss bureaucracy, the rural and urban divide and lack of concern of the administration.

Final word? This tragi-comedy, a brilliant satire, is not to be missed.

Natha [Omkar Das Manikpuri], a poor farmer from Peepli village in the heart of rural India, is about to lose his plot of land due to an unpaid government loan. A quick fix to the problem is the government's program that aids the families of indebted farmers who have committed suicide. As a means of survival, Natha chooses to die. His brother [Raghubur Yadav] is happy to push him towards this unique honour.

Local elections are around the corner and what might've been another unnoticed event turns into a cause célèbre, with everyone wanting a piece of the action. Political bigwigs, high-ranking bureaucrats, local henchmen and the ever-zealous media descend upon sleepy Peepli to stake their claim. Natha's mother [Farrukh Jaffer] screams at his wife [Shalini Vatsa], while his young son urges papa to go through with the suicide so he can use the money to become a policeman.

One TV journalist, in a desperate search for a new angle, tries to examine Natha's faeces to determine his emotional state. Nobody seems to care how Natha really feels.

PEEPLI [LIVE] tells the story of today: Rural society, the games politicians play, the bureaucracy and the manipulative electronic media. It's a well penned and well executed film that deals with a serious issue in a witty and entertaining manner. Although very real, it creates a world full of vivid characters and incidents and keeps the viewer engrossed throughout.
