Of course, the Wednesday and Thursday figures will decide where it stands vis-a-vis the first week business of 3 IDIOTS. But as thing stand today, if the film continues to perform the way it’s performing, the first week share from India theatrical alone of DABANGG will be anywhere between Rs. 48 cr. to Rs. 50 cr. The rentals at single screens are very low and since the business at single screens is humungous, the distributors’ share from single screens will be unprecedented.
What’s noteworthy is that DABANGG will recover the entire costs from India theatrical alone. Meanwhile, the film collected Rs. 8 cr. nett on Tuesday, which takes the 5-day total to Rs. 66 cr. to Rs. 67 cr. nett. Sensational!
